Rossini: Opéra à quatre mains

This recording presents a few extracts from the abundant fruits of Rossini’s genius which were turned into salon music, their textures thickened in arrangements for piano duet. The transcriptions of Arnold Schoenberg, Louis Moreau Gottschalk and Richard Kleinmichel are here recorded for the first time. This brilliant and joyful disc highlight the young piano duet formed by Stéphanie Salmin and Pierre Solot since 2008 (and married one year later…).
