Bio
Far from the Parisian loundges, Rimbaud discovers the strange East Africa. Fascinated, thrown by the new codes of life and thought, he built his life there, between a pitiful trade in skins, guns, ivory and tissues. His doubts, his passion for ethiopian culture sometimes at odds with its referents, have made this five-year period, as a trader in Harar, great Muslim city of eastern Ethiopia, an essential life element of Rimbaud, no more poet, but only a man between doubts and certainties.
April 7, 1891, he left on a stretcher, reached by a cancer that took a few months later at the hospital in Marseille, despite the certainty that he would return to Harar, one day ...
This sound opus is the result of plural collections drawn from the streets of Harar, shouts, served by the touching voice of Ghedalia Tazartes and Ethiopian singer Etenesh Wassie.
