Melkoni Project

Between virtuosity and sensitivity, Melkoni Project, a modern alliance of Jazz and French song. Born from the meeting between singer Louise Perret and Nantes guitarist Gwen Cahue, the Melkoni Project navigates brilliantly between instrumental virtuosity and sensitive sensitivity (melkoni means "melancholy" in Breton). From Nougaro to Barbara, via an unpublished original repertoire that they unveil over the course of this album, Louise and Gwen celebrate the fruitful marriage of jazz and French song. The Melkoni Project takes us into the lost paradise of childhood and the troubled waters of male/female relationships. His poetic texts tell in all intimacy the human flaws, the desires, the love stories, of which each can, in his soul, receive the echo. In perfect osmosis, the duettists weave a canvas of "covered" compositions and songs that you take with you when the curtain falls.
