A Hidden Place is about a longing for nature experienced from the trappings of the concrete landscapes in industrial Rotterdam. On his debut EP, dutch producer and electronic musician Jeroen Dirrix dreams up an imaginary escape from his urban studio centred around the acoustic piano, with the soothing sounds of analog synthesizers and field recordings weaving their way meditatively through the soundscape. The result is a collection of trance-like ambient tracks that evoke the wonder of vast and open spaces rich in texture and colour.
