Trio Dauphine

Trio Dauphine

A unique ensemble uniting a single action pedal harp, harpsichord and violin, the Trio Dauphine has been working together since 2009 interpreting French baroque music from the second half of the 18th-century. Its title evokes the well-known piece by Rameau but also the ?musique de salon? and naturally, Marie-Antoinette. It is to share their passion for the rich, forgotten French musical heritage found in the French National Library and at the Abbaye de Royaumont that Clara Izambert, Marie van Rhijn and Maud Giguet united. Musicians of their time, the members of the trio also want to introduce new works to their output, such as Eglog by Aurelien Dumont (2011). They will soon create a work by the Italian composer Stefano Gervasoni, and the English composer Graham Lynch. Trio Dauphine have performed at the Hotel de Soubise, the Theatre de l?Epee de Bois, at the Abbaye de Royaumont, the Chateaux de la Motte Tilly and Valenfay, and in many festivals: Sinfonia en Perigord , Les Flaneries in Reims, Les Solistes de Demain, Frisson Baroque, the Festival International de Musique de Dinard, La Chabotterie, the Fringe Concert du MA Festival de Bruges and at the Festival Oude Musiek in Utrecht.
